Gangtok & Darjeeling
The classic pairing - Sikkim's capital and the high lakes, then over to Darjeeling for the sunrise and the tea slopes.

A short, unhurried first trip to the hills - the Tiger Hill sunrise, a toy train ride, tea estates and the town itself.
Four days is enough to see Darjeeling properly without rushing it. This plan keeps the two early mornings that matter - Tiger Hill and the toy train - and leaves the afternoons loose for tea gardens, monasteries and the town. It works well as a first Himalayan trip, and as a base to extend into Kalimpong or Sikkim later.
Meet your driver at the station or airport and drive up through the tea belt and the Kurseong ridge. Check in, and keep the evening free for a walk to Chowrasta as the town lights come on.
Overnight at DarjeelingAn early start for first light on the Kanchenjunga range, returning via Batasia Loop and Ghum Monastery. After breakfast, the town circuit - Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the zoological park, Tenzing Rock and the Peace Pagoda.
Overnight at DarjeelingA joy ride on the heritage railway, subject to availability on the day, then Happy Valley Tea Estate and the Japanese temple. The afternoon is unscheduled - most people use it for the Mall, Keventer's or the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre.
Overnight at DarjeelingDrive down to New Jalpaiguri or Bagdogra for your onward journey. Timings are planned around your train or flight.
Final inclusions, hotel names and costs are confirmed in writing for your specific dates before any booking is made.
